A hold-down is a critical component in the dock leveler because it ensures that the dock leveler is secured at a set height above, below, or level with the loading dock when the dock leveler is not in use. When a dock leveler’s ramp control teeth get damaged, or brake systems get worn down, the dock leveler can pop up, which creates a safety problem.
This hold-down ramp control is for Kelley mechanical dock levelers. It is a hold-down ramp control replacement part that will stabilize the dock leveler and virtually eliminate the chance of dock leveler pop-ups.
